NEVER AGAIN, AGAIN AND AGAIN
"Estimates are 450,000 Indigenous Papuans have been killed. (Such numbers amount to Genocide under UN Constitution)."
"From 1950 on the Dutch and the Western powers agreed that the Papuans should be given an independent state, but due to global considerations, mainly the Kennedy administration's concern to keep Indonesia on their side of the Cold War, the United States pressured the Dutch to sacrifice Papua's independence and transfer the country to Indonesia. In 1962, the Dutch agreed to relinquish the territory to temporary United Nations administration, signing the so-called New York Agreement, which included a provision that a plebiscite would be held before 1969. The Indonesian military organised this vote, called the Act of Free Choice in 1969 to determine the population's views on Papua and West Papua's future; the result was in favor of integration into Indonesia. In violation of the Agreement between Indonesia and the Netherlands, the vote was a show of hands in the presence of the Indonesian military, and only involved 1025 hand picked people who were forced at gunpoint to vote for integration with Indonesia, much less than 1% of those who should have been eligible to vote."

TUTU IS TOO, TOO
Archbishop Desmond Tutu: "Forgiveness is liberating" http://bit.ly/RjMrZr
"Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations."
Yes, very liberating. I would only caution that the forgiveness be preceded, or at least, followed by a positive and just outcome. Without justice I don't see how reconciliation is possible. The perpetrator continues under the erroneous thought and action that harms not only them, but their victims.
I would hope someone would think about the BIKOs that didn't and wouldn't have a chance to see justice
or any positive change, yet still gave their blood, sweat and tears for their fellows in suffering, - all the nameless ones that were slaughtered like animals - some cut down in their youth, who also saw the need to face the cruelty and attacks of their tormentors and murderers before apartied ended and a more hopeful future could imbue the hearts and minds of the people.
Necessarily and obviously, there is reason to be tied to those that mock, abuse and murder, not only the physical body, but the spirit in people.
